State Academic Russian Drama Theater

One of Kazakhstan's oldest drama theatres, the Russian-style academic drama theater M. The idea of ​​​​building the theater came from the request of people with great love for dramatic art in the area. In 1957, the play "The Deep", based on a play by Ostrovsky, was awarded at the All-Soviet Art Festival "Spring Theater". The theater has been named after Maxim Gorky since 1959.
