Formation and Development

The theater was established through the merger of two artistic troupes: the Cao Văn Lầu Folk Music Troupe and the Khmer Opera Troupe. With a team of over 80 artists, performers, and musicians, this venue not only caters to entertainment needs but also plays a vital role in preserving traditional art forms.

Striking Design

Architect Vương Hoàng Lê explained that the image of the conical hat, a familiar symbol of farmers, served as the main inspiration for the design. The three hats leaning towards each other represent the unity of the three ethnic groups: Kinh, Khmer, and Hoa, while also reflecting the connection between the North, Central, and South regions of Vietnam.
House A: Hosts traditional artistic performances such as cải lương and hát dù kê, with a seating capacity of over 850.
House B: Designed for large conferences and seminars.
House C: Dedicated to cultural and artistic exhibitions.
These three buildings are set beside a scenic pond covering 1,800 m², creating a picturesque environment with winding paths and areas for lotus and water lily cultivation.
