Thyssen-Bornemisza is a private museum with a massive collection of more than 1,600 paintings mainly of European art, a place for visitors to experience lavish art styles. The world's most famous works are displayed here, sometimes with only one, the gift that Thyssen brings to Madrid and the art-loving public is to bring it all under one roof. .
The museum has 3 floors, visitors should start from the top floor to the bottom.
The second floor houses a display of medieval art, including 13th and 14th-century gems and religious-themed paintings from Italy, Germany, and Flemish.
The first floor displays works of art that are considered the most impressive and contribute to the reputation of the Thyssen museum. There are many paintings by world-famous artists on display here, namely: the painting 'Les Vessenots' by Van Gogh, 'Woman in Riding Habit' by painter Manet, 'The Thaw at Véthueil' ' by Monet, 'Woman with a Parasol in a Garden' by Renoir and 'Parisian Rue Saint-Honoré in the Afternoon' by Pissarro. Other famous artists such as Cézanne, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Degas, Picasso, Matisse and Modigliani, Edvard Munch and Egon Schiele also have paintings on display here.
