The simple name “Margarete” is an homage to the architect Margarete SchütteßLihotzky, the first woman to study architecture in Vienna and design for the “Frankfurt kitchen”, the first integrated kitchen. A modern, innovative version of the Frankfurt kitchen is also what is served in the Margarete restaurant: simple dishes made with high-quality ingredients.
The breakfast menu includes smoothies, rolls, ciabatta, pastries, homemade muesli, jams and more, a hearty breakfast ideal for a relaxing weekend. The pastries here are prepared by Gault Millau 2010 award winning pastry chef, Ronny Bolz. It also serves lunch and dinner with simple delicious dishes cooked with fresh ingredients and carefully presented.
Margarete also has a bar serving a variety of wines, cocktails and a coffee bar.
