Logan Square is a historic neighborhood and large public square located on the northwest side of Chicago. This is an ideal place for visitors to explore the life of the locals. From the outdoors to the indoors, Logan Square has plenty of fun activities. Notable attractions and activities include:
- Logan Square : The square is located in the center of the area. And at the center of the square is the Illinois Centennial Monument, designed by Henry Bacon, architect of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. Around the square are many trees and regal limestone houses, very suitable for walking. In the summer, this is where music and art events are regularly held.
- Logan Cinema: The theater is just a few steps from the square. The theater, commonly referred to as The Logan by locals, opened in 1915. It shows a wide variety of films, ranging from new releases, to classics or indie films. The theater is also home to the annual Chicago Underground Film Festival. Currently, Logan Theater has been remodeled and added a bar and lounge area. In addition to movie screenings, every Monday, this is a stage for comedians. If desired, The Logan can be hired to organize private parties and events.
- Route 606 : Once a railroad track, known as the Bloomingdale Trail, now, Route 606 has been renovated into a dedicated bike and jogger track. Route 606 stretches 4.3 km (2.7 miles) from North Ridgeway Avenue to North Marshfield Avenue, lined with scenic views, parks, and art installations.
- Shop at the Farmer Market : Usually held on Sundays, the Farmer Market is the perfect place to shop for fresh produce and other organic produce. The stalls sell fresh fruit, "home-made" pizzas, essential oils, handmade items and clothes. This is a great place to explore the life of the locals.
The restaurants here are also very diverse, ranging from popular traditional pizza and ramen shops to luxurious Michelin restaurants, or novel fusion restaurants....
The nightlife at Logan Square is also very interesting. In the area are trendy, modern bars, underground music venues with local bands, beer and wine breweries...
