Phuong Danh village is divided into four hamlets: East, West, South and North with four different occupations. North Phuong Danh is an agricultural worker, Nam Phuong Danh is a textile worker, Dong Phuong Danh is a trader, Tay Phuong Danh specializes in blacksmithing. The four hamlets of Phuong Danh village formed jobs naturally according to the needs of living in the former Phuong Danh land.
In the past, this land was wild, the Vietnamese migrated here to reclaim and establish villages. At the end of the 18th century, the Tay Son rebel army chose this area as a place to raise horses, train horses and produce weapons. Phuong Danh forging village was tasked with producing agricultural tools and supplying weapons to the Tay Son peasant movement. Today, a number of weapons at that time are still preserved, preserved and introduced at the Museum to record the efforts of the ancient Phuong Danh village people who worked diligently and patiently forged from iron ore. During the resistance wars against the French and Americans, Phuong Danh village was also one of the places that provided weapons for the revolutionary movement for national liberation.
According to the village elders, blacksmithing has been around for about 300 years. At that time, our people mainly developed agriculture, so people everywhere needed agricultural tools for production. Mr. Dao Gia Tuong was the first person who brought the profession from the North to pass it on to the people in the village to create a livelihood for the people as well as to serve agricultural production. He is the ancestor of blacksmithing in Phuong Danh. Therefore, in order to remember the merits of the person who gave birth to blacksmithing on this land, every year, the people of Tay Phuong Danh village organize a festival called the Blacksmith Village Festival which takes place in 3 days from 12 to 12. February 14 lunar calendar. The festival is a gathering place for households who are practicing in the village and people who are practicing blacksmithing across the province to gather to exchange and exchange experiences.
The Ren village festival attracts visitors because it also preserves exciting cultural and artistic activities, folk games such as tug of war, kettle beating... Traditional singing, or mass cultural programs organized by the youth of the village.
