Profile
Located in the Boston Common Park area, at the head of the Freedom Trail is the oldest park in the United States. There are many ways for visitors to enjoy the beauty of this public park. From November to mid-March, you can rent roller skates to walk around Frog Pond, watching the flowers bloom in spring and the trees changing their red leaves reflected on the lake. Or in the summer, you can watch children happily playing at the pool. This is also the place where many couples choose to hold their wedding.
Adjacent to the west side of Charles Street is the Public Gardens. The garden is America's oldest botanical garden, measuring 24 acres with Victorian-style statues and memorials, including an equestrian statue of George Washington, or a bronze statue of the duck family made famous in the children's story Make Way. for the Ducklings, by Robert McCloskey.
In particular, one of Boston's iconic activities is touring the lake on a swan boat. Since its inception in 1877, lake walks on a swan boat on clear days have been loved by Bostonians and visitors alike. Tickets can be purchased on site. The fare for the lake trip, which lasts about 5-10 minutes is:
| Adults | $4 |
| Elderly | $3.50 |
| Children (2-15) | $2.50 |
| Newborns (under 2) | Free |
