House of Pies is an American restaurant chain founded in 1969 by Al Lapin. This is a restaurant that specializes in desserts. Later, the business struggled, so in 1986, Lapin filed for bankruptcy and closed most of the business locations. However, a number of privately owned and operated restaurants in Houston, Los Angeles retain the old House of Pies name and logo to this day.
