The wonderful world of the ocean inside the Nordic architecture.

Noboribetsu Nixe Marine Park is a theme park known for its collections of over 400 species of fish, marine mammals, marine life, and several other animals. It is a combination of a Danish theme park and an aquarium, located inside NIXE Castle, a building designed after Denmark's Egeskov Castle.

Step inside the aquarium, walk through the Aqua tunnel as if you were walking on the bottom of the sea, spotting a variety of sharks, whales, salmon, sturgeon, king crabs, giant octopus, and other giant octopuses. Other sea creatures… are swimming around you. Other attractions include a touch pool with small sharks, manta rays and horseshoe crabs; a small house for reptiles and amphibians with snakes, turtles and lizards; amusement park; popular souvenir shops and some children's games.

A must-see is the Milky Way Pool, a lake where more than 10,000 sardines swim together, where you can feed and enjoy shows with inspired music and lights from the seasons of the year.

Besides, the park also has other interesting activities that the children love such as watching dolphin show, watching seals fly into the air in a glass lake. A special highlight of the park is that visitors have the opportunity to watch cute penguins parade in formation right in front of their eyes.

A trip to Noboribetsu Marine Park is fun and exciting for kids and is a great way for the family to explore marine life on Japan's northern island.
