Linh Phuoc Pagoda

Linh Phuoc Pagoda is a sacred temple with a unique design from hundreds of pieces of porcelain. Besides, the temple also owns many records of Vietnam.

Linh Phuoc Pagoda, also known as Ve Chai Pagoda, is located about 10km from Da Lat market. The road here is very beautiful, you can go by motorbike or car, if you go by car, it takes about 20 minutes to move. In particular, if you want to find a different experience to go here, you can take the train from the old train station to the temple.

The temple is the top destination when tourists come to Da Lat, the temple owns a very unique architecture created by hundreds of pieces of bottles and crockery, so it is often called Ve Chai Pagoda. The pagoda was built in 1949 and completed in 1952. In 1990, the pagoda was presided over by Venerable Thich Tam Vi and the Buddhists contributed to rebuild the entire pagoda as it is today. People have taken hundreds of tons of porcelain here and built to create a beautiful work like now. The temple owns many Vietnamese records such as:

  • The statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara is made of 600,000 Immortal flowers. The statue is 18m high and in 2010, the statue set the record for the tallest statue of Bodhisattva Guanyin with Immortal flowers in Asia
  • The tallest wooden statue of Bodhidharma in Vietnam.
  • The temple is made of the most crockery pieces.
  • The largest wooden star statue of King Kong Tuoc in Vietnam.
  • The root of the Tram tree contains the largest set of sutras in Vietnam.
