🕰️ Travel Back to 1773 In 1773, King Christian VII of Denmark, inspired by the Moravian town of Zeist in the Netherlands, invited the Moravian Brethren to build a new settlement in Denmark. The result? Christiansfeld – a town built with remarkable symmetry, cobblestone streets, a central church, and those iconic yellow brick houses that make it feel like a living museum. 

⛪ The Beating Heart: The Moravian Church At the center of Christiansfeld stands the Church of the Moravian Brethren – the only one of its kind in Denmark. Its interior is striking in its simplicity: a wide, pillarless hall that fits up to 1,000 people, whitewashed walls, sand-sprinkled floors, and hand-forged chandeliers dating back to 1777. The peaceful atmosphere is both humbling and awe-inspiring.
