Bill Reid is an engraver, jeweler, writer, broadcaster, and one of the most respected artists in British Columbia. For decades, his work has been exhibited at institutions across Canada. For example, the bronze sculpture of Haida Gwaii with a crow, grizzly bear, eagle, killer whale, rat woman, and others on a boat is on display at Vancouver International Airport .

In 2008, the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art was established with the purpose of displaying works by Reid and other Northwest Coast artists.

When visiting the gallery, visitors can admire Bill Reid's most famous works including "Raven and the first men" exquisitely sculpted version of white onyx, a session A much larger version of this work is now on display at the Museum of Anthropology).
