The house has endured many upheavals during the wars but has withstood the test of time and was recognized as a National Historic Site in 2015.

Additionally, every 30th evening of the month, the Coconut House hosts Đờn Ca Tài Tử (Southern folk music) and Hát Sắc Bùa (chanting folk songs), offering visitors a wonderful opportunity to enjoy traditional music while immersing themselves in the peaceful, simple life of the Mekong Delta.
