Orsay Museum - Musee D'orsay Paris

The Orsay Museum is an art museum located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. Located on the banks of the poetic Seine River, the Orsay museum building was originally the old station built on the occasion of the 1900 World Exposition. Then the building was remodeled and on December 1, 1986, the President François Mitterrand officially inaugurated the new Musée d'Orsay. This is one of the most important museums of Paris, the museum is especially devoted to the works of painting, sculpture, painting, architecture, photography and decorative arts.

At the museum, there are more than 5,000 paintings and 2,200 sculptures on display; not to mention many paintings, photography, architectural models... are all famous works representing Western art in the 19th and early 20th centuries. In particular, the Musée d'Or 'Orsay also displays one of the most valuable collections of both impressionism and post-impressionism, the work of such renowned artists as Claude Monet, Édouard Manet, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, Auguste Rodin, Pierre Pierre -Auguste Renoir, Vincent van Gogh..

Free admission for children aged 0-17

The museum is free on the first Sunday of every month.
