Profile
Whiskey & Wares bar was founded by Wan Winters and Derek Jay, the couple first met when Jay moved to Ho Chi Minh City. They have raised their big dream of making Whiskey & Wares one of the most popular drinking destinations for both locals and tourists. Jay says he's always wanted people to be able to try really good whiskeys they've never tried before. That's why the prices of all drinks are quite affordable.
Although not located on the busiest and busiest streets, it attracts many patrons with quality drinks at relatively cheap prices. In recent years, as Ho Chi Minh City has become more open about the LGBTQ community in Vietnam, it has been the site of many gay-friendly, and especially gay-friendly activities. Whiskey & Wares is known as a gay paradise that attracts expats living in the city, tourists and locals. Every customer who comes to Whiskey & Wares bar has fun and enjoyable experience.
Another good point of Whiskey & Wares bar is that it is environmentally friendly because it does not use plastic straws. The restaurant has eliminated plastic straws in eating and drinking, including take-out.
As the name suggests, the menu of this bar has a large selection of imported whiskeys from many countries such as the US, Japan, Ireland, etc. For example, you can enjoy the flavors of American whiskey including American whiskeys including Jack Daniels, Maker's Mark, Woodford Reserve or Irish flavors like Jameson, Tullamore Dew.
If you don't like whiskey, there are plenty of other options. There is an extensive list of local craft beers as well as a wide selection of original and traditional cocktails with an Asian twist. In addition, Jay is very creative, he has combined a lot of ingredients to create unique drinks for his customers. You can try Tam Me Whiskey Sour, or a popular drink is Saigon Whiskey Collins, the perfect combination of kumquat (Vietnamese kumquat), star anise, ginger and whiskey. So you might regret leaving the city without trying some of the drinks here.
The space of the restaurant looks quite small, but it also has up to 50 seats, so you can go with a large group of your friends. Upstairs design a small smoking area. The familiar types of music here are jazz, down temp or hip hop. On certain occasions like Valentine's Day or Women's Day, there are always special offers for you.
Opening hours: Whiskey & Wares Bar is open every day of the week from 17:00 - 01:30
