The “One Thousand and One Nights” performance is held every Wednesday and Saturday at caravanserai Sarapsa Han is a 13th-century building located on the intercity highway, on the banks of Serapsu Stream, 15 miles from Alanya km to the west. According to historical records, this building was built between 1236-1246 by order of the son of the Muslim chieftain Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat, Seljuk Sultan. It was built by architect Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev and served as a caravan (caravanserai) where merchants stayed on the historic Silk Road. The walls of the building, built on an area of about an acre, are covered with large cut rocks. Today, the caravanserai, one of the important accommodation centers of the Middle Ages, has been leased by the Founding General Directorate and used as a leisure center of which Sarapsa Han is one.
