“During both summer and winter, the Bains des Pâquis bathhouse is a welcoming paradise for those who love sunshine and seek relaxation. Located a few meters from the Jet d’Eau, it has a spectacular view of the lake.”

The Bains des Pâquis has existed since 1872. Is a man-made peninsula surrounded by a lively beach near the Pâquis (Rive Droite) district. The view here is special because not far from the Jet d'Eau has a beautiful lake view and lighthouse at the end. The Bains des Pâquis is essentially two saunas, a Turkish hamam, plus a restaurant that offers a location with great views. In 1890, the Bains des Pâquis bathhouse officially opened to the people of Geneva.

The city of Geneva decided to build the bathhouse in 1932. The simple wooden barracks were demolished, leaving room for a complete layout for the concrete dock. The project was chosen by engineer Louis Archinard and architect Henry Roche, who perfectly calculated the space for men and women to be equal in an area of 6500 square meters.

The inauguration of the Bains des Pâquis bathhouse was immediately welcomed by the people of Geneva, who immediately turned it into a favorite summer gathering place. The combination of relaxation, sports, entertainment and restaurants makes it a social aspect deeply imprinted in the hearts of locals.

La Buvette des Bains is a restaurant and bar in the Bains des Pâquis, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their menu ranges from healthy vegetables, traditional winter cheese fondue, and desserts and fresh juices that are perfect for sunny days.
