Rocket & Basil is run by two sisters Sophie & Xenia von Oswald with a culinary style with traditional flavors of Persia. During the week, their cafe serves a wide range of pastries, snacks, salads and stews, and on weekends there are brunch specials.

Using fresh and seasonal produce to create powerful flavor combinations, local producers and suppliers also contribute to signature dishes that change weekly like Khoresh stew with salad herbs, tahdig saffron rice (Persian saffron elderberry) with a crispy golden crust and mast-o-khiar yogurt sauce; Chicken schnitzel sandwich, sesame roasted carrots with tomatoes, coriander and tahini. The duo Rocket & Basil has long been a crowd-pleaser in Berlin's lively Postdamer Strasse area with its delicious and varied Persian cuisine.

The menu at Rocket & Basil includes a wide range of vegetarian dishes with fresh ingredients every day from local markets. Desserts and drinks are also created by sisters Xenia and Sophie von Oswald to always bring new flavors to diners.
