If you follow the farm road about 600m southwest from Daepo-dong, the end of the pine forest is a cliff. At the foot of this cliff is the Jisatgae Coast with its towering stone pillars. Jusangjeolli are stone pillars stacked along the coast and are a designated natural monument of Jeju Island. Jusangjeolli Cliff was formed when lava from Hallasan Mountain erupted into the Jungmun Sea. They are cubic or hexagonal stone pillars of various sizes and are almost as if the stone masons carved them. The county government named them 'Jisatgae Rocks' from their old name 'Jisatgae'. The 20m-long cliff makes it a popular spot for high tide watching and sea fishing. The waves of the high tide crash against the cliffs providing a breathtaking view of the ocean surrounding the pillars.
