OFFICIAL LICENSED GUIDE // SKIP THE LINES Hi, I am a licensed museum and monument guide (certified by the Government), writer, associate professor at university and lecturer at several organizations. As a licensed tour guide, specialized in History, Art and Architecture, I have access to all monuments, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the work of Antoni Gaudi, such as the Sagrada Familia or Park Güell. In almost all cases, you'll skip the lines with me. Since 2005 I have been reorienting my long term plans towards building a writing career and cultural guiding, focusing on topics related to Catalan, Spanish and European culture, art and history. Cultural guiding enhances my cultural activities related to the country and offers the required flexibility to concentrate on writing as well. Enology courses at INCAVI (2000), Monvínic (2013) and WSET (2017) strengthen my liaison of culture and history with activities in the countryside, besides my passion for trekking. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (History) of Art and another Bachelor in Information Science (journalism and marketing) and an MBA (Master in Business Administration). I studied in Barcelona, Japan and in the USA, specifically Washington D. C. Strengthened through education in the administration area (MBA) at a leading university (UPC), I understand the requirements of small, medium and large organizations, from the start of the event planning, to the final evaluation. Enjoy your tour in the hands of an expert licensed guide that is passionate about his profession! I am looking forward to Meeting you!

Catalonia's vibrant capital, Barcelona is a stunning seaside city that flaunts her beauty and sunny lifestyle. Gorgeous scenery, breathtaking architecture, and superb cultural attractions make for an alluring destination. Of course, the balmy Mediterranean climate adds to the charm. Barcelona has an atmospheric medieval quarter, the Barri Gòtic, with an almost magical old-world ambience, but it's even more famous for its Modernist architecture. Antoni Gaudí left a lasting mark on Barcelona with his avant-garde Surrealist buildings; several are UNESCO listed.
After all the sightseeing, you will want to simply relax and soak up the city's joyous vibe. Stroll down La Rambla, where the locals hang out. Escape to the sandy beaches near the harbor, and linger over leisurely meals on outdoor terraces. Wander aimlessly and find hidden town squares, where street musicians strum melodies on Spanish guitars. Delightful surprises abound at every turn. Discover the best places to visit with me.

Among the best things to do in Barcelona is visiting the city's impressive collections of art in Barcelona's museums and galleries. Famed Spanish artists such as Picasso, Dalí and Velázquez, among others, run the gamut of the 'isms' – Cubism, Impressionism, Modernism and Post-Modernism (to name a few). But in Barcelona's museums you'll also find plenty of collections that span from medieval times to the 1990s. Contemporary works by established and lesser-known artists are omnipresent too; and almost every museum organises temporary exhibitions that fill in the gaps (momentarily at least) in their permanent collections. Beside those top museums and institutions that focus on art and science, I can also show you where you can learn more about football, erotica and chocolate.

At times life in Barcelona can seem like one long fiesta, especially during summer when every barrio in the city celebrates its own patron saint days and a Bacchanalic carnival vibe takes over the entire town one district at a time. Anyone who has been to Barcelona will tell you that the city is a traveler’s dream, with everything you could possibly hope for a city break all wrapped up in one. From fine art museums to designer shopping and the beach right on your doorstep. However, there are certain truly unique experiences which you can only find in the Catalan capital, from the local custom of "A calçotad" meal, to local celebration and customs. Let me know your interests and I will show you unique experience to seek out during your time in Barcelona.
