Regarding the space of the restaurant, because the owner of Cuc Gach Quan is an architect, the architecture and decoration of the restaurant make a strong impression on diners at first sight. The restaurant is originally an old French villa located on a quiet alley, so the atmosphere there is always peaceful. The restaurant is famous for its unique classical beauty, so it feels like being in the time when the city was likened to the pearl of the Far East of the 1900s.
Outside the restaurant is a high white wall surrounding the house and colorful bougainvillea above the green gate, a familiar image of old French villas. The Brick Shop has three floors with different decorations.
The first floor has a large yard like in every old house in Vietnam in the past. The yard is next to a small pond with a tall pomelo tree at the corner of the street, orchid pots hanging in front of the porch. There are not many furniture in the house and all are antique, even broken, but very close, such as cassette tapes, bookcases full of old books and newspapers, antique wooden tables and chairs, chopsticks from old metal milk cans. of France... Go up an outside wooden staircase with a fancy design made from old tree branches, you will reach the 2nd floor of the restaurant. The main colors of this floor are yellow, white and brown giving guests the feeling of stepping back in time to enjoy dinner in an atmosphere of old Saigon. The dining table and other items in the room are natural materials and are reused to protect the environment. The straws used here are water spinach stalks and no bottled drinks to reduce the number of plastic bottles.
The last floor is the terrace of the villa, an outdoor area. The main color of this area is green from the trees. There are many pots of plants of various sizes placed everywhere to bring a feeling of freshness and relaxation to guests.
