Day 1: Hà Nội (D) - Arrive at Hanoi
Welcome to Hanoi! The capital city of Hanoi, with its
picturesque old town, still holds the landmarks of time as the capital of
French Indochina, surrounded by beautiful boulevards, narrow streets, and
historical colonial architecture that can be seen everywhere. You’ll stay in
the city's atmospheric old town near the central Lake, Hoan Kiem. Pick up and
transfer to the hotel. Check in and refresh. In the late afternoon, a new
adventure on Cyclo rides you around the 36-street old quarter, exploring the countless
streets and alleys. A true sense of bombardment of sounds, scents, and colors.
Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hà Nội – City Tour (B, L)
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the day. Walk
to the nearby central lake Hoan Kiem, with its beautiful surroundings and good
atmosphere, where the locals meet from early morning to late evening, doing
morning gymnastics and tai chi, philosophizing, and reading. Cross the Red
Sunbeam Bridge and visit the little Ngoc Son Temple. Then continue to Ba Dinh
Square, where you will see and hear the tale of the father of the country, Ho
Chi Minh. The site is surrounded by Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the new National
Assembly, government buildings, and old colonial villas. In the beautiful park
behind the square, see the house on stilts where he lived and the presidential
palace where the French general governor used to rule Indochina. Visit the
sanctuary One-pillar Pagoda, shaped like a lotus flower rising from the Sea of
Sorrow, which has great symbolic significance for the Vietnamese as it is built
in honor of the Goddess of Mercy. Another great experience will be at the
beautiful Literature Temple. After lunch, spend the rest of the day exploring
the charming old quarter on your own or walk with the tour guide to discover
the colorful Dong Xuan Market. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Ha Noi – Ninh Binh (B, L, D)
Ninh Binh, called Ha Long Bay on land, is home to many
historical and cultural relics, as well as amazing landscapes for customers to
discover. You will get to uncover the cultural and natural wonders of this
Vietnamese gem. In the morning, take the sampan to discover Thung Nắng. After
lunch, check in to the hotel, then rest or bike to explore the Tam Coc area.
Dinner and overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 4: Ninh Bình – Hạ Long (B, L, D)
Enjoy your breakfast and check out of the hotel. Leave Ninh
Binh for Hai Phong by bus via Thai Binh province. 11:30 Arrive at Tuan Chau
Marina Harbor. Start cruising to Da Chong islet, where you can see a lighthouse
built by the French over 100 years ago. Enjoy an international buffet lunch
while passing via the islets of the Con Vit area. These amazing limestone karst
formations rise up out of the sea in an impressive manner. Pleasantly sampan
rowing at the Dark & Bright Cave area. Sea bathing at Tra Bau. Back to the
cruise and enjoy the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Onboard you
may join a traditional cooking class. Our chef will guide you on how to prepare
some Vietnamese dishes while enjoying the Happy Hour deal. Lunch, dinner, and
overnight on board.
Day 5: Ha Long – Ha Noi/ Hue (Brunch, D)
Enjoy sunrise on Halong Bay. Why not rise early to witness
the bay at its very best whilst enjoying an invigorating Tai Chi session on the
sundeck; after which we serve a light breakfast. Upon completing breakfast,
continue our journey and cruise the route via the Cat Ba Island - Thoi Quyt
area - Coc Ngoi islet - through Gia Luan area which belongs to Cat Ba National
Park. Another adventure takes you to Trung Trang Cave by bus, which is located
in the middle of Cat Ba National Park with Kim Giao Forest around the cave.
After exploring the cave, head back to the cruise for brunch. 11:00 back to the
mainland then transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure to Hue. Arrive at Hue
airport. Meet and greet your driver then transfer to Hue. Check in and
overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue (B, L)
After breakfast, have a city tour in Hue with highlights
such as: Visit Tu Duc tomb, Citadel, take a boat trip on the Hương River to
visit the Thien Mu pagoda. Overnight in Hue.
Day 7: Hue – Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L, D)
After breakfast, leave Hue for Hoi An via Lăng Cô, Hai Van
Pass (if the weather permits). After that, go to My Son holy. Arrive at Hoi An
in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hội An.
Day 8: Hoi An (B, L)
Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning, go to Cam Thanh
village. There, have a fun time trying to use the bamboo basket boat. Lunch at
a local restaurant. Spend half a day exploring Hội An by bicycle with
highlights: Japanese covered bridge, Cantonese Assembly Hall, Phùng Hưng house,
Hoi An market. Overnight in Hội An.
Day 9: Hoi An – Da Nang / Can Tho (B, D)
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Free until transfer to
Da Nang Airport for departure to Can Tho. Can Tho is a city in southern
Vietnam’s Mekong Delta region. Set on the southern bank of the Hau River, it’s
known for its canal network and nearby floating markets. The busy Ninh Kieu
waterfront is a hub for boat trips on surrounding waterways. On arrival at Tra
Noc - Can Tho Airport, collect your bags and transfer to the hotel. Check in to
the hotel and refresh. A small orientation walk pleasantly to a restaurant for
dinner. Overnight in Can Tho.
Day 10: Cai Rang Floating Market – Red Kingdom – An Binh
Islet (B, L, D)
Wake up early and take a boat trip to Cai Rang floating
market – the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta. Typical market
culture on grid crossing waterways. Check out of the hotel and leave Can Tho
for Vinh Long. Arrive at Vinh Long, take a boat towards Long Ho – Hòa Tịnh – Mỹ
An canals to discover The RED KINGDOM. On the way, stop at the local village to
see how they weave bamboo trays, bamboo baskets. Continue by boat to My An –
Hoa Tinh canals where you can see many beautiful kilns. Optional biking or
walking in Hoa Tinh village to get inside the old kilns to learn more about
this special job & to take pictures with these heritages which are full of
hundreds of brick kilns on both sides. Have a tea break with some local cakes
on the boat. Stop at the potteries factory to see how they create beautiful
potteries from clay. Be on our boat and enjoy the best optional lunch on the
boat when the boat is heading towards An Binh Island. Check in at Ut Trinh
homestay, make friends with members of the family. Have a fresh shower before
cooking pancakes with the family. Enjoy dinner & overnight at the homestay
in An Bình islet.
Day 11: Cái Bè – Saigon (B, L)
Have breakfast at the homestay. Check-out & be on the
boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, the Mekong River.
Come to have a quick visit at Cai Be. Then, the rowboat will take you deeper
into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy the peaceful time. Also, come
to Tân Phong island for biking on village paths to see the local daily life:
orchard, school, church, pagoda, traditional houses. On the way, make some
stops to see how they make the dried water-hyacinth to make many products: baskets,
bags, hats, wallets, shoes. Back to the land, drive to Saigon. Check in and
overnight in Saigon.
Day 12: Saigon City Tour
Cruise around the downtown center for the iconic landmarks
of colonial time: Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, The GPO, Saigon
Central Post Office, The Saigon Opera House. Explore the culture of “hẻm”
(alley), and visit the secret weapon cellar of VC in the 1960s in Saigon.
Overnight in Saigon.
Day 13: Saigon
This morning, discover a part of Saigon with Chinatown:
Thien Hau temple, Cha Tam Church, the ancient practice of Chinese medicine, and
browse the stalls at Binh Tay Market. After lunch, visit and shop at Ben Thanh
market. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 14: Saigon Departure
Breakfast and late check-out until 17:30. Free and leisure
until time to transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure.
