Profile
4.5 The first restaurant was opened in 2005 at 18 Phan Boi Chau street. At the corner of the ancient street lined with mother-of-pearl trees nearly a hundred years old, right near the intersection with Nam Ngu street, the restaurant has been crowded with customers since the first days of opening. Partly because customers were curious because the shop was opened in the grounds of the old villa of the famous doctor Phung Ngoc Tue. The pristine French-style villa with the age of nearly a century has remained closed since the day of liberation, causing curiosity for many people. Up to now, it has been more than 10 years, the restaurant in Phan Boi Chau is still as crowded as ever. Now guests come because they miss love and miss the feeling of enjoying country food in a cozy, fresh, juicy space like a picture of a fresh country market on New Year's Eve reproduced in this place.
It was not until 2012, the second restaurant was opened at 25T2 building Hoang Dao Thuy, Cau Giay district. In the modern new urban complex located between two important main roads of the city, Nguyen Chi Thanh and Le Van Luong, the restaurant is like a new breeze. Amidst the newly completed high-rise buildings "square like a box", the space of the Vietnamese market is almost nonexistent, the appearance of Ngon restaurant is a delicate and pure lotus blossoming to brighten up the dry space. The architecture of the shop is ancient with trusses, columns, and tiled roofs that are modeled after the old Northern house architecture. The space is peaceful and cozy, completely separate from the bustling modern world outside.
In 2013, a new address was opened in "Royal City" - Royal City on Nguyen Trai Street. Amidst the rows of luxurious fashion "streets", bustling entertainment venues, and colorful cuisines of Western China, Asia, and Europe, Quan An Ngon appears light, simple and close. Unlike the first branches, most of the customers coming to this place are those who regularly work at this shopping mall and the Vietnamese guests who come to visit.
After 11 years of development, 3 restaurants with four different space styles and menus. Still the traditional Vietnamese flavors of three regions. It's still pho, pancakes, beef vermicelli, noodle soup, still shrimp cakes, spring rolls, Quang noodles, Trang Bang rice paper... but for each place, no matter which restaurant you go to, you will find a suitable taste.
Ngon at Phan Boi Chau used to be the only restaurant in Hanoi that entered the Top 5 list of most popular restaurants in Vietnam announced by The Miele Guide in 2009. In 2010, this place was again one of the Top 5 restaurants. Vietnam's most popular and worth-visiting products voted by Reuters Life Singapore.
Guests can come here to enjoy the famous snacks of Ha Thanh such as Thanh Tri rolls, La Vong fish cakes, Mo tofu, Tay Ho shrimp cakes, Ve village spring rolls... or the colors of the South. The central region is bright and sweet, full of sunshine and wind of the tropics such as beef vermicelli, broken rice with ribs, spring rolls, noodle soup, Quang noodles, banh beo, Hue vermicelli, Hoi An spring rolls...
If Phan Boi Chau branch is the dish with bold regional memories reminding the Vietnamese people of a time to remember and a tourist rendezvous to introduce typical Vietnamese flavors to tourists from all over the world, then Hoang Dao branch Thuy brought the townspeople back to the cozy countryside with her family. The place where the traditional gathering of the three greats, the four greats of the road gather together. The traditional dishes that no old Vietnamese family does not have such as sticky rice, tea with areca flowers, fish cakes, escalators, pancakes, braised beef noodle soup, ba ba tea, banh ask, grilled spring rolls, etc., are fully reproduced. whole.
The address in Royal City is a homecoming meal for children who still have to wander in the middle of life. Little rolls, spring rolls, bowl of noodles, bowl of beef vermicelli or plate of broken rice with ribs... contain the typical flavor of each region.
During the journey of preserving the traditional fire for the past 11 years, each staff member from all over Vietnam has become an ambassador to bring home flavors to diners. With the goal of bringing a model of a comprehensive culinary experience, from 2014, each season when guests come to the restaurant, they are introduced to the typical dishes of the season, such as eating escalators in spring, floating cakes, and summer with delicious dishes. tea, Southern salad, young nuggets in autumn, tiled birds... Just like that, it is the heart and love of the people here that preserves and transmits the fire of national love to guests from all over the world.
