Watch Las Vegas Boulevard glow with spectacular fireballs at the volcano in The Mirage. Visitors will be blown away by the heat and noise of the eruption staged with music and light effects.

The Mirage Volcano Show is a spectacularly staged music and fire show officially put into operation in 1989. After impressive improvements in 2008, watching the eruption of the volcano is truly a treat. one of the most loved free activities in Las Vegas

WET, the company responsible for The Fountains of Bellagio, led the design team for the volcano, which includes a 16.5m-high mountain, a lagoon and 150 flame nozzles that fire on-demand flames. These giant fireballs are capable of shooting up more than 12 meters into the air with fire and smoke effects created in the waterfall and the pool next to it. Combined with the fog, the volcanic eruption is lit to give the appearance of eruptions of lava and natural gas that originate from both the volcano and the surrounding lagoon.

Another interesting highlight of the volcano is its hypnotic soundtrack. Legendary Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart and Indian composer Zakir Hussain worked together to compose and perform a track dedicated to volcanoes. In the process of composing, the two studied the legends, myths, and history of volcanoes. In parallel, they incorporated musical instruments from around the world, percussion, other tribal elements, and recordings of volcanoes coming from actual eruptions. The volcano's state-of-the-art ultrasonic sound system allows the audience to really feel the rumble while the computer system makes the giant fireballs move to the rhythm.

In order to prevent visitors from smelling the substances that make up the natural gas during the show, the fragrance of pina colada was added.

To get the full experience of the spectacular views and sounds of the volcano, visitors should stand on the sidewalk in front of The Mirage Hotel or stay 14th or higher at The Mirage to experience the view. Great view from the air.
