Hazrat Sultan is the largest church in Central Asia, has become one of the main religious and spiritual attractions of the capital Nursultan. The church is named after Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, the famous Turkish Sufi patriarch. He was a poet, philosopher and saint Muslin, famous throughout the territory of Central Asia. "Hazrat Sultan" means "divine sultan".

The church is known as an oriental palace, with the participation of more than 1,500 masons and experts in the construction. The total utility area of ​​the church complex is up to 17.8 hectares, including the temporary house area, the wedding hall, the Koran reading room, the cremation room.... This is a mosque full of function rooms corresponding to the needs arising in modern life. The area of ​​the church campus occupies 11 hectares, and can accommodate 10,000 people.

The dome of the church is 51 meters high and 28 meters in diameter. The main dome is surrounded by eight small domes, in the corners of the church there are four small towers, each tower is 77 m high. Hazrat Sultan sub-tower was built in the oriental classical style, the main color of the facade and interior design is white. The Central Hall is supported by large white columns, increasing the grandeur of this structure. The façade and interior areas are decorated with many traditional Kazakh objects. The Hazrat Sultan Mosque is a new piece of architectural art from Kazakhstan and the diamond in the young rival Nursultan's painting of Islamic architecture.

Located on the right bank of the Yesil River, the Nur-Astana church is adjacent to the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, the "Kazakh Eli" monument and Independence Square. According to the architectural plan, the church bears an 80-meter pyramidal crown facing directly towards Mecca. It is the official site for important religious ceremonies of the city such as baptisms, weddings, the hall is a sacred area for reading the Koran and has a religious education function.
