The Wempe brand was founded in 1878 and has since developed a collection of exquisite watches and outstanding jewelry. Each product is individually designed and uses the finest materials, such as diamonds, pearls and precious stones. The store's own watch collection is complemented by a wide range of watches from leading international brands, including Cartier, Breitling, Rolex, Longines and Vacheron Constantin.

After 46 years of establishment, Wempe has a new location on the famous shopping street Königstrasse. A way of life is also reflected in this new facility, guests can see the modern room concept inviting watch enthusiasts and jewelry lovers to stroll and explore the total area of ​​713 square meters. .

In 2005, Kim-Eva Wempe bought the completely derelict observatory in Glashütte, where her grandfather had developed ambitious plans. At her initiative, the observatory has undergone a renaissance – as an institution where scientific research and watchmaking work together as a training institute for young watchmakers. age and is an incubator for future ideas.

Since 2006, wristwatches have been produced at the old observatory. The Wempe Chronometerwerke Glashütte i/SA and Wempe Zeitmeister Glashütte i/SA watch lines proudly bear the family name. They are tested and certified by Germany's first testing center for chronometers, located at the observatory. And along with watches of all major brands, they are repaired and inspected regularly at the affiliated watch workshop, which is Europe's largest, run by a single reseller. The Wempe watch also quickly became a success. As early as 2011, the company built an extension of its facility in Glashütte to expand its production and service capacities several times over.
