Greenwich-London Pier

Greenwich Pier is located on the south bank of the River Thames in Greenwich, London. It was built in 1836, to accommodate the many paddle steamers that took tourists on day trips to Greenwich from London further up the river. At that time, London's urban area did not extend as far as Greenwich.
The pier is now owned by London River Services and is used by many river operators, operating public travel services to and from Central London. It's located right next to Cutty Sark and within easy walking distance of many other popular attractions. It was refurbished in 2004, and again in March 2018.

You can get on and off the water bus at this stop to visit many famous places nearby, such as:

• Cutty Sark: A classic tea merchant ship, built in 1869, one of the fastest and most beautiful ships of the 19th century. The Cutty Sark has been preserved in Greenwich since 1956, and is part of a Great maritime museum. You can tour inside the ship, view memorabilia, paintings and drawings of the ship, or walk under the ship to see its magnificent hull.
• Old Royal Naval College : A historic and architectural building, the meeting place of the British Parliament from the 16th to the 19th century, in a Gothic architectural style, with many towers, columns and stained glass windows.
• The Queen's House: A classical mansion, designed by Inigo Jones, is a masterpiece of classical architecture and notable for its symmetrical proportions and fine marble floors, as well as iron railings Forged and carved and painted ceilings. The Queen's House was built in 1616, as a gift from King James I to his wife, Anne of Denmark.
