Profile
Restaurant Kabuto (which means Samurai's hat in Japanese) opened in May 2012 in a shopping mall in Las Vegas' Chinatown. The restaurant's dining room is minimally designed with a traditional bar for 8 seats, two additional tables and a private room next to the sushi counter, creating a comfortable, elegant but cozy space.
Kabuto's specialty is Edomae Sushi, prepared in a traditional way. This style of sushi originated in the Tokyo area as a street food nearly 200 years ago, and has evolved into an exquisite experience. Pieces of raw or marinated fish are served with bite-sized pieces of vinegared rice. Kabuto's Omakase menu includes sashimi, a grilled dish or soup, and ten pieces of nigiri. Diners can also order from another concise menu that includes appetizers, sashimi, miso soup and dessert.
Diners when coming to the restaurant can start their meal with a Japanese-style appetizer called Zensai, consisting of octopus, crab, crispy cucumber, minced onion, seaweed,... Then there are the dishes. Main dishes such as squid, are combined with the accompanying flavors of delicate soy and wasabi or the mouth-watering shrimp sushi, by the added egg yolk mixture.
As for the drink menu, the restaurant's wine list is not too diverse, but most of them are carefully selected for easy pairing with dishes and tagged with tasting notes for diners. Easy to find the right wine. However, if you want to add something special, you can choose some Japanese snake wine.
Kabuto Restaurant is the right place for those who want to enjoy fresh fish, served in a simple and cozy space.
