À bientot was founded in 1996 by a young couple Stephen and Betty Newton. After years in New York, East Asia and Paris, they returned to Houston and worked in the family garage and launched their first fashion boutique.

Four years later, Cristiana Anderson, a chic and outgoing woman, joined the Bettys as a partner. Together, the duo travel the world with their children, from there shopping, collaborating, creating for À bientot and nurturing dreams. Twenty years later, the original garage has been sold, and the À bientot store is now located on busy River Oaks and is one of Houston's favorite fashion boutiques.
