Another beautiful example of traditional houses in Alanya, the Azakoğlu Mansion, has been assigned by the owner to Alanya City as a cultural hub. The villa, striking with its architecture, integrity and decorative details, is one of the finest examples of similar structures surviving. It makes an important contribution to the memory of Alanya city and preserves the city's identity. The museum is a characteristic structure with an orderly relationship between places, easy to navigate.
This traditional house in Alanya, built with quarried stone and lathe system, uses grog and hair plaster that was typical of the area at the beginning of the 20th century. Traditional Alanya-style houses typically have two floors. first floor and 1 ground floor. The ground floor is used as a warehouse, a place to keep livestock and straw. The dining room and bedroom will be on the first floor, usually designed to be airy, suitable for Alanya's climate.
