Profile
When the “Haus der deutschen Kunst” (House of German Art) opened in 1937, the bar was part of the central restaurant and garden courtyard. The concept of service includes a Bierstüberl (small beer pub) in the cellar, similar to what customers often see in hotels, art centers or luxury places. The name Golden refers to Karl Heinz Dallinger's wall paintings from 1937, created at the suggestion of architect Ernst Haiger.
The gilded map on the wall is the original 1937, showing the origins of wine, spirits and tobacco around the world. Sparkling beneath a splendid modern chandelier is an interior in a luxurious yet relaxed relaxed atmosphere. Head bartender Klaus St. Rainer is a particular fan of gin, as shown in Hause der Kunst's signature cocktail (Tanqueray gin, Perrier Jouet champagne, lemon, sugar, gin, tonic foam, and a hint of Campari). In addition to wines from Germany's central wine regions, there are also wines from other European countries and a small corner of British whiskey and gin, Caribbean rum and tobacco as well. available at Golden Bar.
