Temple of Truong Han Sieu

Truong Han Sieu was a great cultural celebrity of the Tran Dynasty. He was born in Phuc An village, now Ninh Binh city. As a true Confucianist, he used to follow and support Tran Hung Dao and made great contributions to the 2nd and 3rd resistance wars against the Yuan Mongols. He left behind many poetic poems. famous; especially the law "Hinh Thu" and the book "Hoang Dynasty Dai Dien" laid the foundation for the Vietnamese feudal system to operate according to the law. When he died, people built many temples to commemorate his great contributions, in which the temple of Truong Han Sieu in Ninh Binh carried many profound cultural and spiritual values. The temple is located in the southwest of Duc Thuy mountain, on the gentle Day river, with a nail-style architecture, including 3 pavilions and 2 harems. Part of the temple is built against a peaceful and majestic mountain.

Stepping into the temple grounds, visitors will easily recognize the familiar pure Vietnamese architecture of the northern countryside "bamboo banks, wells, attached roofs, banyan trees". In front of the temple, there is a big picture written in Chinese characters "Truong Thang Phu Tu". The temple has a very delicately stylized curved roof, symbolizing the rise of Vietnamese people through the ups and downs of history. In the middle of the main hall are 4 Chinese characters "Truong Cong Nghi at" to affirm that he is always present, his words always echo here.

In the memory of the Vietnamese nation and especially the culture under the Tran dynasty, Truong Han Sieu made many great contributions to the cause of national construction and defense. At the temple, there are also two books of his life, including Bach Dang Giang Phu and Linh Te Thap, in which Bach Dang Giang Phu showed a very special Dong A's aura. He synthesized and purified the outstanding elements of Confucianism and Buddhism to create a strong spiritual strength.

Visitors to Truong Han Sieu temple, especially in the early spring, will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the activity of asking and giving letters, a beauty that shows the tradition of the Vietnamese people. Near Truong Han Sieu Temple are Non Nuoc Mountain and Non Nuoc Pagoda, all forming a spiritual cultural space "temple-temple-monument-mountain river" in the heart of the city.

The shrine is open daily from 07.00 AM to 06.00 PM and there is no entrance fee. Because this is a sacred place of worship, you should choose to wear modest clothes, not too colorful when visiting Truong Han Sieu temple.
