Sumiyoshi-taisha Shrine was built as a place of gods to protect fishermen and seafarers. Along with Osaka Castle, Sumiyoshi-taisha shrine are attractions that attract tourists when coming here. The work was built around the 3rd century, so it became an ancient temple and was listed as a national treasure in Japan. The most recognizable image of Sumiyoshi-taisha is its symbol, the Taiko-bashi bridge. The red arched bridge provides a picturesque passage through a pond with verdant foliage leading to the shrine. The temple has a traditional straight roof and a red gate. Every year the shrine holds festivals such as the Otaue-shinji, the harvest festival, which usually takes place in June, where people go down to the fields to cultivate rice crops. Or the Sumiyoshi-sai festival is a summer festival, usually held in late July and early August. The festival is one of the biggest summer festivals in Osaka city. During these festivals, a large number of visitors come to the ancient temple, if you have the opportunity to visit Osaka, you should visit this famous place.
