The 18th-century Schönbrunn Palace is a must-visit when visiting Vienna Austria because of its magnificent architecture and the setting of the beautiful surrounding gardens.

Schönbrunn Palace is one of Vienna's top tourist attractions. With its Baroque architecture, Schönbrunn Palace has 1,441 rooms and apartments, including those once used by Empress Maria Theresa. A highlight of the tour is the Royal Apartments, which include Emperor Franz Joseph's Walnut Room and his Bedroom, where the small bed of the soldier he died in remains. Among Queen Maria Theresa's rooms, highlights include garden apartments decorated with beautiful floral motifs personally decorated by the Queen's daughters. A must-see spot when visiting Schönbrunn as it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Park, with its grand vistas and lavish Baroque gardens. If traveling with kids, visit the Children's Museum for a chance to see them dressed up as a prince or princess.
