Program schedule

  • 06:30 Depart from Hanhsilk Showroom in Hanoi, starting the journey to Thai Binh, a land famous for its traditional mulberry cultivation, silkworm rearing, and silk weaving.
  • 09:00 Arrive at the Vu Thu mulberry and silkworm raw material area. Visit and check-in at the vast mulberry fields, and learn about the mulberry-growing and silkworm-raising craft that has been bound to the local people for generations.
  • Directly join the farmers in harvesting mulberry leaves, feeding the silkworms, and listen to vocational stories with the familiar saying: "Raising pigs, you can sit and eat; raising silkworms, you must stand and eat."
  • Learn about the life cycle of silkworms and experience the activity of cutting silkworm cocoons.
  • 11:30 Enjoy a local lunch. Guests will have the opportunity to join the locals in preparing rustic, traditional countryside dishes typical of the Northern Delta region.
  • 14:00 Move to the Nam Cao Tussah Silk Cooperative – a place that preserves the traditional tussah silk weaving craft that has existed for hundreds of years.
  • Listen to stories from the artisans and learn about the National Intangible Cultural Heritage - Nam Cao tussah silk weaving craft.
  • Experience the stages of silk making such as boiling cocoons, spinning, spooling, reeling silk, and weaving fabric, thereby gaining a deeper understanding of the value of each handmade piece of silk.
  • Visit an ancient house over 100 years old, a space that preserves many cultural values and serves as an ideal location for taking photos with traditional silk products.
  • 15:30 Participate in the Silk & Water-Marbling workshop. Learn about the art of Water-Marbling and manually blend colors to create your own unique, one-of-a-kind silk scarf.
  • Take home the completed Water-Marbled silk scarf as a souvenir of the trip.
  • 16:30 Depart back to Hanoi. Program ends.

  • From 4 - 7 days: 30% cancellation fee.
  • From 2 - 3 days: 50% cancellation fee.
  • Within 48 hours or No-show: 100% cancellation fee.
  • Working hours: Tour cancellation time is calculated based on working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays).
  • Force majeure: In the event of flight cancellations or delays by the airline or due to natural disasters, Tatinta will assist customers in reserving the service or negotiating with the provider to minimize penalty fees to the lowest possible level.
