Ultherapy Prime uses Micro-Focused Ultrasound (MFU-V) technology to deliver energy deep beneath the skin to the fascia / foundational tissue layers (including the SMAS and deeper tissues) without damaging the skin surface.

With real-time visualization technology, doctors/technicians can see the tissue layers during treatment and precisely adjust the depth — ensuring accurate, safe, and effective energy delivery.

Energy is typically delivered at depths of 1.5 mm, 3.0 mm, and 4.5 mm, targeting the dermis, deeper tissue layers, and the SMAS layer — which plays a key role in firmness, elasticity, and facial contour.
