Pearl Theater

As part of Palms' $600 million expansion project, The Pearl is specially designed for rock music in the style of a traditional large performing arts center theater, complete with multi-story lobbies. and amenities in the $80 million budget.

Auerbach Pollock Friedlander was the theater designer for the project and the truss design consultant. At the same time, he worked closely with architects Pfeiffer Partners and KGA to develop plans for the stage and backstage facilities, as well as audience chamber configurations, including all areas. seats and VIP for the venue. One of the biggest design challenges faced by the project team was fitting the theater and the necessary supporting space into the limited space in Palms' existing hotel towers, below the new ballroom and meeting room complex.

The result is a venue that is intimate, yet unusually comfortable and flexible, with a seating capacity of 1,124 to 2,500 with a steep line of sight that reduces viewing distances where no seats are obstructed. and no patrons are more than 36.5m away from the event stage allowing the audience to observe the show with good, unobstructed visibility.

With the flexibility created by a flat floor seating area in front of the stage for extended performance areas for musicians, singers or even the fighting ring makes the space of The Pearl become more widespread. Covered boxes and open VIP suites also offer sweeping sloping views, covering the stage and all events held on the floor.

In addition to rock concerts, The Pearl regularly hosts televised Ultimate Fight Championship matches, stand-up comedy, fashion shows, and other special events.

Blending the amenities typically associated with top performing arts centers and sporting venues, The Pearl offers a unique hybrid approach to the comfort of not only performers, but and the audience in a classy space.
