Yen Tu festival is held in Uong Bi city, the festival is held annually starting on the 10th day of the first lunar month and lasts until the end of the third lunar month. Yen Tu festival is considered the biggest festival of the North, every festival hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the country flock to Yen Tu to worship Buddha.

Yen Tu mountain area is known as the Buddhist center of Dai Viet before. Since ancient times, Buddhist followers have come to Yen Tu to pray for Buddhist scriptures and practice. This place is also the birthplace of Truc Lam Zen sect founded by Buddha Hoang Tran Nhan Tong, a king who gave up the throne, put on a monk's robe and founded a typical Buddhist sect of Vietnam. . Yen Tu festival begins with the solemn incense offering ceremony of the festival held at the foot of Yen Tu mountain, followed by special cultural activities to mark the beginning of the festival season. Coming to Yen Tu, tourists from all over the country wish to once conquer and burn incense at Dong Pagoda. The temple is made of bronze located on the top of a mountain 1068m high above sea level. On the way to Dong Pagoda, you can also see unique works such as the one-roof pagoda, where the Buddha used to read books, the giant bronze statue of the Buddha near the Dong pagoda, the ancient tower... Enjoy the fresh air when walking under the ancient pine trees, bamboo forests.
