The sound engineer at MONK says Monk's long history is due to the owner's pride in running a "cultural venue" for guests of all ages and backgrounds.

MONK hosts daily jazz performances from 21:00 to 23:00 every Sunday from Sunday. Featuring nightly live music and jazz related documentaries. Nightly performers now include about fifteen regular local bands and jazz-related projects, with concerts by artists from Seoul or Japan also occasionally appearing on stage.

About every month or so, Club MONK also invites the public to their Famous Poetry Competition, in which local poets, comedians, and actors perform.
