One of them is artisanal butcher Kumpel & Keule, a modern butcher shop that opened in the Kruzberg district in 2016. Kumpel & Keule Speisewirtschaft is a small restaurant located just a block from the hall 500 meter market. The friendly atmosphere and down-to-earth approach to quality cuts of meat is something diners always feel at this small eatery, where tables with wooden chairs covered in smooth sheepskin invite diners to linger. to enjoy and chat during the meal.

Speisewirtschaft specializes in traditional German food and drinks, cooked to both traditional and modern recipes. Lunch is always more casual than dinner, serving dishes like Currywurst – lamb or horse sausage served with a wonderful apricot ketchup. Or the traditional Northern German "Grünkohl mit Pinkel" (kale with pork), usually only available at German Christmas sessions, where huge pots of kale stew with fresh pork sausages .

The evening menu is set with higher ambitions when fine platters of sweetbread and beef tartar are served alongside dishes such as “Doppetle Sauerei”, Schwäbisch-Hällisches Landwein with salad and lettuce; or porterhouse steak with fries; or bacon with asparagus. Finish the meal with an elaborate dessert of rhubarb (rhubarb), woodruff and vanilla ice cream.
