1: Full Day Group Tour
7:00-7:30
AM: Pickup from
your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter (if selected).
7:30 AM – 10:45 AM: Travel along the winding pass of silk, where you’ll
witness the local Muong and Thai communities living in harmony with the valley
and mountains.
10:50 AM – 11:10 AM: Depending on the weather, we’ll stop at the top of
Thung Khe Pass to enjoy a panoramic view of Mai Chau Valley. At the pass, visit
the temporary local market, where you can shop for handmade products from the
Muong people.
12:00 PM: Enjoy a local lunch (vegetarian options available).
Afternoon: Cycle through a beautiful valley with fresh air, visiting a
typical Thai ethnic village. Explore their homes and learn about traditional
fabric weaving and brocade products, which take a long time to create.
6:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Return to your hotel.

2: Full Day Private Tour – Cycling & Handcraft Workshop in Mai Chau Valley
7:00-7:30
AM: Pickup from
your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
10:30 AM: Arrive in Mai Chau and be welcomed by your local hosts,
entering a world of new customs and traditions.
11:00 AM: After a tour briefing, we’ll cycle to Na Phon village, passing
rice fields and narrow lanes, until we reach a weaving workshop. Here, you’ll
learn about White Thai traditional weaving, dyeing, and embroidery techniques.
You’ll even have the opportunity to try your hand at natural dyeing in a
workshop led by a local Thai woman. The items you create are yours to take home
as souvenirs.
- We
support two local weaving workshops in Mai Chau: one is run by Mrs. Xuyen,
an artisan specializing in ancient White Thai weaving techniques. The
other is the Hoa Ban Social Protection Center, established in 2008 to
support disadvantaged and disabled women while preserving White Thai
cultural traditions.
- Both
workshops promote sustainable, high-quality textiles with social and
environmental benefits.
12:30 PM: Return to your homestay for a delicious lunch featuring
Mai Chau specialties, prepared by your host family.
Afternoon: Hop back on your bike for an afternoon of cycling.
Depending on the weather and your preferences, the local guide will
suggest the best cycling routes. Explore beautiful trails that pass
through quaint villages and rice fields, and feel free to stop along the
way to capture scenic moments or chat with friendly villagers.
3:00 PM: Return to your homestay, and your car will take you back
to Hanoi.
6:30 PM: Arrive in Hanoi.
