Your adventure begins with a scenic 2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre Province, located at the heart of the Mekong Delta. As you travel through lush countryside, take in the vibrant landscapes and tranquil rural life.
Upon arrival, step aboard a boat to visit a local factory where traditional kilns are used to produce activated charcoal from coconut husks. This sustainable process demonstrates the resourcefulness of the local community, who transform natural materials into valuable products for both domestic and international markets.
As your boat crosses the mighty Mekong River, passing through the Cửa Đại and Cửa Tiểu branches, you will reach Tam Hiệp Island, situated 30 kilometers inland from the Eastern Sea. This island is a hidden gem in the Delta, known for its rich agricultural landscape and serene atmosphere.
Enjoy a leisurely stroll through small village paths, surrounded by lush orchards of longan and tropical fruit trees. Stop at a local family home, where you will be treated to a selection of freshly picked fruits and a refreshing glass of honey tea — a perfect way to experience the flavors of the Mekong.
Next, hop into a traditional rowing boat to venture deeper into the countryside along the narrow canals. This peaceful journey offers a glimpse of life along the river and a chance to relax as you drift through the tranquil waterways, surrounded by lush greenery.

After the boat ride, enjoy a refreshing bike ride to a local farm where unique creepers called Lá Sâm are cultivated. These creepers are used to make a special herbal jelly, a local delicacy. You will have the opportunity to pick fresh leaves and sample this refreshing treat, learning about its health benefits and preparation process.
After biking back to the boat, head towards Út Trinh Homestay, where a delightful traditional lunch awaits. Enjoy local Mekong specialties, prepared with fresh ingredients from the surrounding farms, offering an authentic taste of the Delta.
After a leisurely lunch, unwind in the peaceful surroundings of the homestay. You can relax on the hammocks, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere before returning to the boat for your journey back to the ferry station.
After a wonderful day of exploration, enjoy the scenic boat ride back to the ferry station, marking the end of your memorable journey through the Mekong Delta. Your vehicle will then return you to Ho Chi Minh City, where your adventure concludes.
