Along the Chagres River, we reach the village of Tusipono, where the Embera tribe lives with its unique traditions and arts. Immersed in the Chagres river, we enjoy tribal dance performances and feel the wild beauty at the "Chorro del Mono" waterfall. The journey continues to Agua Clara Falls on the Panama Canal, exploring the impressive cultural heritage at San Lorenzo Castle, before returning to Panama City. Finally, we explore Panama through time with historical and modern city tours, uniquely experiencing each vestige of the past and present.

What to expect

Day 1: Panama City

Arrival at Panama City airport. Meet and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Embera Village Excursion

Breakfast at the hotel.

Departure for an excursion to Chagres National Park.

  • Tusipono Village: Explore the village where Embera Indians reside. Learn about their pre-Columbian history, traditions, and lifestyle. Witness the creation of intricate crafts such as woven baskets, sculptures from Cocobolo wood, and more.
  • Chagres River Boat Ride: Enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Chagres River. Experience the beauty of nature and the possibility of encountering capuchin and howler monkeys.
  • "Chorro del Mono" Waterfall: Take a refreshing swim at the waterfall and witness traditional dances. Enjoy a traditional Indian lunch featuring fried tilapia and bananas.
  • Return to the hotel in Panama City.

Day 3: San Lorenzo Fortress + Agua Clara Canal Locks

Departure to the Caribbean coast at 8:00 AM.

  • San Lorenzo Nature Reserve: Visit the 1596 Spanish fortress perched on a cliff, offering breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea and Chagres River. Explore the history of the Caribbean coast and its fortresses.
  • Agua Clara Canal Locks: Visit the locks on the Panama Canal. Learn about their operation and observe large vessels passing through from the Caribbean Sea. The visitor center provides panoramic views and telescopes for ship watching.
  • Return to the hotel in Panama City.

Day 4: City Tour: Old - Colonial - Modern City

6-hour city tour.

  • Archaeological Park "Panama Viejo": Explore the ruins of cathedrals, monasteries, and bridges from the early 17th century. Visit the park's museum for a deeper understanding of Panama's history.
  • Casco Antiguo (Colonial District): Stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage Site with its colorful streets, squares, and parks. Visit landmarks such as the National Theater, Plaza de Francia, Church of San Jose, and Bolivar Square.
  • Balboa Boulevard: Explore one of the most beautiful streets along the coast of the Panama Bay. Learn about the canal's history in the former residential zone.
  • Amador Causeway: Visit the stunning area composed of three islands: Naos, Perico, and Flamenco.

Day 5: Departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
