Overview and Significance

“Returning to Hoi An – Lighting up the roofs after the storm” is a volunteer journey towards the people in the flood-hit areas of Hoi An – Quang Nam. Through activities of visiting, giving gifts, repainting schools, and replanting trees, the program not only contributes to restoring life after natural disasters but also spreads the spirit of sharing and community responsibility. Each step on the journey is a seed of love, together lighting up faith and rebuilding peaceful homes for the beloved land of Hoi An.

🎯 Program objectives
• Support Hoi An people to overcome storm damage, contributing to restoring daily life.
• Work with the local community to repaint schools, replant trees, clean the environment, and create a green, clean, and beautiful landscape.
• Spread the spirit of sharing, connect volunteerism from tourists, businesses and people.
• Link volunteering with meaningful and sustainable travel experiences.


What's included

✅Services include:

• Tourist car pick up and drop off according to the program
• Volunteer tour guide
• Drinking water

❌Not included:

• Lunch and personal expenses
• Gifts, paint, trees, support materials (self-organized or direct contribution)

Program activities

🗓️ Expected schedule

🕚 07:30 – Car picks up group in Da Nang, departs for Hoi An.

🕚 09:00 – Go to residential areas or schools affected by the storm:

     🎁 Visit and give gifts to households and students.
     🌱 Participate in cleaning, painting, and planting trees.
     👨‍👩‍👧 Exchange and share with local people.

🕚 11:30 – Lunch at your own expense at a local restaurant or outdoor picnic.

🕚 13:30 – Continue to interact with households, give away household items, and support improving living space.

🕚 16:00 – Depart for Da Nang.

🕚 17:30 – Return to the original pick-up point, end of the journey – farewell in joy and meaning.

**Program order may change depending on actual situation.**

Additional info

✅ Wear uniforms or neat, comfortable clothes.
✅ Maintain a friendly attitude, respect local people and students; always cooperate and support each other throughout the journey.
✅ You can prepare small gifts (notebooks, clothes, necessities, etc.) or plants to plant, depending on your ability.
✅ Follow the instructions of the team leader, ensure personal safety while cleaning, painting or transporting items.
✅ Do not litter, save water, and preserve the landscape of the area.
✅ Participate voluntarily, share from the heart, do not show off or take excessive photos or videos during the donation process.
✅ The program can be flexibly adjusted according to weather conditions or local realities.
