Designed and built by architect Alfred Koerner between 1897 and 1910, the garden consists of three parts: the Arboretum (tree and collection of roses), plants formed from similar geographical areas. from around the world, and a section devoted to the botanic system which includes some 1500 species of plants. The Botanical Garden is not only a popular attraction in summer, in winter visitors can follow the 'Seasonal Trail' to discover the flora of Africa, Australia, East Asia, the tropics. Mediterranean region and basin.

The Botany Museum here is the only museum of its kind in central Europe. Since 1906, the Botanical Museum has housed the former royal plant collection. This collection is constantly expanding and includes a stunning array of models that reveal botanical structures invisible to the naked eye.
