Profile
You start your food tour the same way most Italians start their day: with an espresso! Enjoy strong coffee with a delicious pastry before the tour takes you to your next destination. On the way to your next stop, your guide will tell you stories and anecdotes about the most important places in Verona, where locals buy and enjoy a meal or aperitif.
Your guide will then take you to a local specialty store. There you can taste fresh salami, spicy Parma ham and delicious Parmesan cheese with balsamic vinegar. After this snack, try one of the best pizzas in town in a small, traditional pizzeria. Here, pizzas are still baked in the traditional way and you will be impressed by their unique taste.
Then it's time for a good glass of wine in a typical Italian cafe. Here you can choose between the extremely popular Prosecco, Valpolicella and Amarone wines. All wines are grown in the region and are distinguished by a seal of quality. The tour continues to a local factory where fresh handmade tortellini is produced. Here you can learn everything about pasta production, from the preparation of the dough to the correct technique for rolling the dough and filling the dough bags. You are also welcome to try freshly prepared tortellini.
If you're taking the tour in the summer, enjoy a delicious Italian ice cream at the end and see how you feel like a real local at the end!
