It's not noisy when enjoying delicious street food like this. Luini has a specialty: pan sized panzerotti, which are small pizzas stuffed with the filling of your choice then folded and fried. Other than large grilled calzones, pan sized panzerotti are smaller and you can try two or three different varieties. Luini has been selling them since 1888, so suffice it to say, they know their dishes well. Sweet and savory versions are both available. Don't be surprised to see a long line spill out the door.

Ms. Giuseppina Luini, who moved from Puglia with her family in 1949, took over the oven at Via S. Radegonda 16 in Milan.

With her love, she created a typical Apulian product famous throughout Milan. In the early years, the activity focused mainly on bread production, supplying the main restaurants and hotels in the center, the woman's interest was always shifted to the traditional products of the land. hers. And one day, a version of the recipes passed down by her grandfather was found and Panzerotti was born.

Initially, a few were fried: the Milanese did not yet know the taste of this product, however, within a few years, consecrated the main food in their meals.

Today, the boys who come to eat panzerotti when they are still in school bring their children here. A traditional value is passed on to the younger generations.

The recipe for panzerotti dough is a family secret carefully guarded by her son Giuseppina and her grandchildren.

All panzerotti are strictly produced at this time and it is for this reason that they are always hot and delicious.

The quality and freshness of the ingredients and the meticulousness in processing contribute to the perfection of Luini's products.
