Retiro Park is considered a green oasis and is home to more than 15,000 trees, the age of the oldest trees here can be up to 400 years old; including several important gardens such as: Jardín de Vivaces, Jardines de Cecilio Rodríguez, Jardines del Arquitecto Herrero Palacios, Rose Garden and Parterre Francés.
Retiro Park is not only considered the green lung of Madrid, but also a venue for cultural, recreational and sports activities for locals and tourists.
