High Mountain Siam

Cao Xiem Mountain is located in Luc Hon Commune, Binh Lieu District, Quang Ninh Province. From the center of Binh Lieu town, there will be 4 roads for visitors to reach the top of Cao Xiem: the first is the direction of Cao Thang village (Luc Hon commune), the second is Luc Ngu village (Huc Dong commune); the third is the village of Thousand Meo (Luc Hon commune), the fourth is the village of Co Nhan (Tinh Huc). In which, the two roads Luc Ngu and Co Nhan are two difficult roads and very few people choose, these roads are mainly used by local people occasionally to graze cattle.

To conquer the summit of Cao Siam, you must prepare carefully in terms of health, drinking water and remember to bring some snacks to walk, pass some forest roads, trails along the slopes. The trip will be an interesting experience, when along the way you will encounter beautiful images of the old houses of the Dao and San Chi ethnic groups, pine forests, and mountains in the distance. A little beyond the mountain, we will see a kilometer-long natural rock range, many people call this a miniature Great Wall of Binh Lieu. There is an opinion that this rock range was created by the people of Luc Hun and Huc Dong to divide their territory and prevent their livestock from moving to another territory. Or there is a legend that says: once upon a time, there was a boy and a girl who loved each other, one in the village of Huc Dong and the other in the village of Luc Hon, they often went to the mountain to date. After being known by the parents and villagers of the two villages forbidding each other, the people of the two communes built this rock range to avoid bad news and bad things happening and it has existed until now.

Stepping to the top, in front of you is the glossy Cao Siam peak, which was first plugged by a group of backpackers on March 5, 2017, with a height of 1,429m. The moment you touch the summit of Cao Siam, all the hardships and hardships during nearly 3 hours of climbing disappear, replaced by the joy and relaxation of being a successful conqueror of the mountain. fresh air and breathtaking, extremely peaceful scenery of this place.

At present, on the top of Cao Siam, there are still many ancient victories with trenches and rock holes. According to local people, a flag was planted on the top of Cao Siam in the past to affirm the country's sovereignty, so people here also call Cao Xiem peak as Cam Co mountain, Tay language called "Kau Cam Co". , San Chi is "Ke Kham Khai".

On clear days, from an altitude of 1,429 meters, you can see a very beautiful scenery when looking to the east, which is Hai Ha district, Dam Ha far away from the Gulf of Tonkin. Looking to the west is the high mountain range between the border of Vietnam - China, to the south is a town of Binh Lieu, far away is Tien Yen district, towards the north you can see Khe Van waterfall, beyond the Goryeo Mountains.
