Anchovy, 338 Bridge Road, Richmond, Melbourne 3121
In Melbourne, Chef Thi Le has brought to diners the most exciting modern Asian-Australian dishes that you may not have tasted before at his Anchovy restaurant.
The shop is designed with the main white color to create a simple, elegant and clean space. The combination of white tones and light system makes each visitor feel as cozy and close as he is returning to his own home.
The shop is owned by Jia-Yen Lee and chef Thi Le. Like many others, Thi Le was not the most promising chef when she first started. But then she became a good cook. She learned professional kitchen techniques from great teachers including Andrew McConnell, Christine Manfield and Dave Verheul.
By combining Southeast Asian traditions with some classic touches and a touch of modernity, Le's dishes say no to boredom. She can turn simple dishes like Bundarra cakes into a mouthwatering treat and make you irresistible to order four cakes at once and treat it as a great meal. She can also impress you with egg noodles with shredded pork in red curry sauce or a white chocolate durian parfait. Do not forget to enjoy steamed mussels with turmeric and herbs, this is a favorite dish of many tourists when coming to the shop. Le's dishes will make you unable to utter any words but can only focus on enjoying.
